Vijay - Murugadoss's next

There was word doing the round in Kollywood that Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay and AR Murugadoss will be coming up with a project together, but nothing was confirmed until now.
Grapevine has it that the duo, although busy with their own projects, will work together after finishing their respective commitments and dish out an action-packed film, titled 'Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli'.
The pre-production work has already begun and the movie will go on floors anytime this September, as both their projects, 'Nanban' and '7am Arivu' will be completed by then.
Although there are confirmed reports on the cast and crew of the film and the movie itself is yet to be announced officially, it is said that Nirav Shah will be handling cinematography, and the movie will be produced by Vijay's father, SA Chandrasekar and Aascar Ravichandran.
The team is now trying to rope in our 'Rana' girl Deepika Padukone into it. Remember even Kamal's 'Viswaroopam' is trying for the same? Even before her Tamil debut, Deepika seems to have become one hot property in here. But well have to wait to know whether she will give her nod for this project...

My fans are in next stage: Vijay

"Things have changed a lot. Vijay fan clubs have become Makkal Iyakkam and my fans are now working hard for the welfare of the people and the society. I am happy about this," Vijay has said.

Replying to questions from the public in a popular vernacular weekly, the actor said, "I never wanted my fans to stagnate. I wanted them to grow and move on to next stage. They are in this phase now."

"Members of Makkal Iyakkam are doing things with a vision. They are in the forefront whenever there is a problem for the people. At the same time, I would also like to request them to concentrate on their families," the Ilaya Thalapathi said.

Quiz him on the recent decision by his 'good friend' Ajith Kumar who dissolved his fan clubs, Vijay, who recently said that he admires Ajith a lot, replied, "It is his personal decision and I cannot interfere in it."

Vijay’s new confusion

It’s a well-known fact that Vijay is close on the heels of completing his 52nd movie Velayudham which is directed by Jeyam Raja. Though it may take few more months for the actor to wrap up Shankar’s Nanban, he had already okayed Seeman’s script that is tentatively titled as Pagalavan with the plans of commencing the project later.
But the latest report is that director Perarasu, who had earlier churned out blockbuster movies like Thirupachi and Sivakasi, has approached Vijay. It is worth mentioning that both of them were supposed to work together again, but didn't happen due to the prior commitments of Vijay.

Closer sources reveal that Vijay is very much impressed with Perarasu's storyline and is keen on working with him again. However, the star seems to be confused over deciding his next project between Seeman and Perasu.

Vijay's fans special birthday present

vijay-vijay-makkal-iyakkam-07-06-11Vijay's birthday falls on June 22nd and his fans usually celebrate it in a grand manner. But this year, Vijay requested them to refrain from lavish celebrations and to do their best to help the poor and needy. His fans took his message to heart and spent the entire month raising money for charitable causes.
Fan clubs across the length and breadth of the state did their best to help the downtrodden in their respective areas. Consequently, notebooks, textbooks, uniforms, school bags, stationary items, sairs, dhotis were distributed free of cost to those who needed them in the locality of various fan clubs. Top ten ranked students from a Government school were gifted with computers by Vijay Makkal Iyakkam leader, SA Chandrasekar.
Kudos to Vijay and his fans for their efforts!
